Portrait of Dr. Serath

Who is Dr. Serath?

I am a Cambodian medical doctor turned journalist, editor and communication scholar with more than three decades of experience leading newsrooms, advising media organizations and teaching public relations.

I studied medicine at the University of Health Sciences in Phnom Penh and later completed a Master’s degree in Journalism at Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines. This rare combination of medical and media training allows me to translate complex health issues into clear, human-centred stories.

Today, I work at the intersection of health, media and communication – helping hospitals, NGOs, development partners and companies build trust through accurate, ethical and compelling communication.
